Look: Beachbum

I had a fun day at the beach on Lake Michigan.  If you look far enough you can pretend your looking at the ocean where the water meets the sky.  There are waves crashing on the shore and the water is still a lovely blue.  I mostly stayed on the beachside since I fear jumping into lake water.  The ocean is hundreds of  miles away but I will soon see it on my travels.

The image above was inspired by my recent interest in alchemy symbols.  I don't want to get to much into alchemy since it may be a dry topic for some but I worked with the idea of joining two pairs to become one as a mirror image.  The eye on the dress may symbolize the gateway to the soul, along with other meanings.  Or in this case one's eyes staring at the reflection in the mirror seeing a projected image of themselves.  As one often does to see how an outfit is put together.  =P Happy Wednesday fashion lovers.

Sorry for the long hiatus;  to compensate here are a bunch of pictures for you.  The weather has finally began to cooperate in this part of the world so I've been outside taking pics and enjoying the scenery which has been slowly recovering from the winter.

Look: Jamaican Me Crazy

Take in beauty with all your senses.  Take the time out to go to a place you love where you will be moved by sights of nature or streetscapes   When you surround yourself with beauty you begin to appreciate all that is around you.  You become grateful for what is being given to you at that moment. And at that time, the positive force you've given reciprocates back to you bringing you happiness, joy, and a sense of peace.

Look: Welcome to Jamrock

I got the chance to get out of the cold and into the warm and beautiful land of Jamaica.   Yeah mon!! There was so many things I saw and got to experience and so many things I still have yet to see.  I can't wait to go back which I hope will be fairly soon.  Oh yeah, my hair is red ;)
