This outfit was inspired by the welcoming of autumn, my very patient wait to include squash and pumpkin back into my diet, and my best friends new living room furniture colors out of all things.

I am wearing a lovely copper dress from gamiss.com.  This dress is very comfy and versatile, meaning  you can wear it as a dress or long shirt with leggings for the colder months.  The color is a very pretty copper and perfect fit to the fall foilage.  The dress includes a similar color belt.  The bag and tights are also from gamiss.  Honestly, I can say that I have never worn such comfortable tights.  They fit almost like leggings and have a lovely design.  The black bag is a perfect size to include all essentials.  Also this bag has a beautiful black and gold strap; it can also be worn as a handbag.  Click on the item links above to be directed to each items page.

Gamiss.com has a big selection of other clothing too.  There are hundreds of pages of dresses, tops, and accessories to build any outfit.  Shipping is crazy fast as well.

I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you for following.

Safari Land

 Shoes - Converse

When I was a kid I loved going to the library and checking out books about the rain forest.  One book became my favorite so I took an effort to memorize it just for fun.  One day in grade school the teacher asked the students to write a story about a mystical place.  Not knowing what I was doing I started writing the book that I memorized.  Talk about plagiarism!  It was only a few pages long. But after reading my story, the teacher gave it back to me with an unhappy look on her face and told me to rewrite it.  Luckily, next time I followed instructions and rewrote the story of me trekking through the jungle instead.

I thought I post one extra summer outfit before the cold temperatures of autumn set in.  By the way, check out my new converse shoes!  I have never owned a pair in my life. I have heard they look better as they age.  But now with my new crisp pair they really do match with almost everything.

Look: Soon We Will Meet Again

Just recently I quit my job and enjoying the freedom.  I must have been somewhat crazy to quit without anything else lined up. Honestly the job wasn't for me and I knew I wasn't doing what I loved. But now I'm back and can focus more on the blog and photography.  Its such a great time to find myself again.

Look: Brick Garden

Last weekend I took a trip out to Galena, Illinois, a historic village close to the Mississippi River near Illinois and Iowa. The town is very antique and most of the houses and buildings were built in the 1800s. I stayed at the Galena Renaissance Suites, a hotel built in the 1850's. Each room was uniquely decorated and the gardens had a few statues of gargoyles. The beautifully decorated grounds offered many opportunities to take pictures. The above pictures were taken by the upstairs deck overlooking the gardens.

Speaking of "Renaissance" I often wear this dress to the Renaissance Faire held every year in Bristol Wisconsin.

Look: Off-Black

How about a Q&A??

What camera do you use? - Nikon D5200

How did you get into style blogging? I was inspired by the site Lookbook.nu.  So I created a blog that I can post more pictures.  It gives me a way to express my creativity .

Where did you come up with the name Purging of Pink?  I was trying to find a name for my blog but I couldn't come up with anything so I asked my friend who is great with words.  He gave me a list of crazy names such as Bum Whiskers, The Cyclops Winks, and Platypus Whisperer.  I like how Purging of Pink sounds so that's what I chose.  Shout out to JC that helped me come up with the name.

Who takes your pictures? my mom

What are you favorite fashion designers? - I like to bargain shop

What is you nationality? I was born in Far East Russia across the Sea of Japan

What's your perfect pizza? I don't eat pizza I'm gluten and dairy free

What can't you life without? Fruit. I'm on a quest to try all the different edible fruits in the world.  Not much of a fan of durian though.  I love going to different countries and trying all the exotic fruits such as star apple and sweetsop from Jamaica, mangosteen from Thailand, and guava from Mexico.

Look: Rusty Twig

The temperature outside feels like it will be halloween tomorrow.  And I'm anxiously waiting for the Harry Potter addition 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' prequel to hit theaters.  I'm so happy there has been a lot of activity coming from the HP World. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child book is also coming out in a few months. Being an all time fan, I was inspired to create a look based off the wizarding world.

I didn't like how the belt looked with the outfit so I got a new one after taking the picture.  I could have retaken the pictures but felt that would be a hassle.  So instead I posted a picture of it below.

Look: Thinking About Saving the World

Being an environmental advocate I often think about what is the best way to clean the environment and to make it a better place.  I went to college studying geology because I was fascinated by the way the world works and one day I believe I could preserve it.  Today I work as an environmental consultant mitigating polution and protecting the people and ecology of high risk areas where contamination prevails.  However throughout my line of work I see that instead of addressing the root cause of the problem people take apon a crisis approach.  That is, they start creating action only when a problem arrises.  Same is true in the medical field.  When one is diagnosed with a condition only then they may stop smoking or eating junk food.

They only way to save our planet is to save yourself.  Let me explain, when you take upon a more healthier mindset you want the best thing for you.  That maybe eating more nutritious food, striving for healthier relationships, buying cruelty-free hair care, and using 'green' products for your home. You're supporting the companies that do it right.  You are removing chemical toxins in and around you. You are creating an environment that is beautiful and nourishing not only for yourself but for those around you.  What is the inner, is the outer.

Lets face it, you can't change the planet.  You cant force people to do things a certain way.  Focus on being your best self every single day.  Save yourself to save the world.

Look: Call It Spring

Hey I'm back!!!  I was a bit worried to start this blog again due to the Mars Retrograde but we will see what the future bodes.  In the meantime I am going to take advantage of this perfect weather and lovely scenery popping up everywhere such as the cherry blossom behind me.  I find it fascinating how plants spring to life from what seemed to be a long cold death; winters are brutal.  But, so happy things are starting fresh and new again.
