Take in beauty with all your senses.  Take the time out to go to a place you love where you will be moved by sights of nature or streetscapes   When you surround yourself with beauty you begin to appreciate all that is around you.  You become grateful for what is being given to you at that moment. I got the chance to get out of the cold and into the warm and beautiful land of Jamaica.   Yeah mon!! There was so many things I saw and got to experience and so many things I still have yet to see.  I can't wait to go back which I hope will be fairly soon.  Oh yeah, my hair is red ;)

I guess you can say that I've been hibernating lately.  My energy levels drop very low during the cold months and I tend to sleep much more than usual.  My friend gave me a dream pillow as a gift for Christmas from a local craft fair.  The pillow is infused with lavender, mugwort, hops, and other sleeping herbs.  It helps me sleep but gives me strange and vivid dreams.  Last night I dreamt of an angry wolf with sharp fangs.  Does that mean anything? I hope not.  But anyway, I got more things coming your way.

Today was the first ‘real’ snowfall of the season in this unfortunate part of the world.  It only lasted for a few hours and quickly melted by the afternoon.  Fall did not last long enough.  So, my long and comfortable days of shooting outdoors are over but that wont stop me from taking pictures.

Look: Here There Be Dragons

Half Bodice - Ophelia’s Renaissance Clothing // Cropped Top - Hearts Delight Clothiers // Headpeice -   Brazin Lady Torchworks

Here be a forest EIF from the realm of Mistwood. I am clad in a half bodice made from the fine needlework of Ophelia’s Renaissance Clothing. The bodice is cross-laced on three sides and when fitted properly can be fairly hard to breathe in. Also, it is of a black interior and reversible. The leafy green cropped top is from Hearts Delight Clothiers (shop.heartsdelightclothiers.com) made of a light material and perfect for the warmer months. The skirt and golden belt are of my own design from sewn fabric scraps. For accessories, the headpiece holds an emerald tear-dropped gem at its center and is forged of gold and silver metals. It was crafted by Brazin Lady Torchworks (brazinlady.com).

 I know I'm a day late but Happy Halloween!!!  My costume was inspired by the Renaissance Faire I attended earlier this year.
